Nel 1915 si reca in Germania come corrispondente di guerra, dove scrive con lo pseudonimo maschile Marco Valeri. Nel 1944 viene condannata a quindici anni di carcere per essersi opposta all'ideologia fascista, dei quali sconta solo il primo grazie all'avvento fortuito della caduta del regime. Nel 1932 è insignita del titolo Scrittore d’arte indetto dall’Accademia linguistica delle belle arti di Genova. Tra i suoi romanzi più famosi ricordiamo 'Sua moglie', 'Sissignora', 'L’ultimo sogno', 'Il gioiello sinistro' e 'La veste d’amianto'.

Il notaio Stefano Edina, sceso dal tram a Boccadasse in una giornata di sole, si dirige verso la casa della Contessina Silenzi. Nel 1915 si reca in Germania come corrispondente di guerra, dove scrive con lo pseudonimo maschile Marco Valeri. Nel 1944 viene condannata a quindici anni di carcere per essersi opposta all'ideologia fascista, dei quali sconta solo il primo grazie all'avvento fortuito della caduta del regime. Nel 1932 è insignita del titolo Scrittore d’arte indetto dall’Accademia linguistica delle belle arti di Genova.
