Åge Meyer Benedictsen (1866-1927) var en dansk etnolog, historiker, forfatter, oversætter og foredragsholder. Han foretog talrige rejser for at besøge og studere folkeslag, der levede i den europæiske kulturverdens periferi. De mange rejser og møderne med fremmede kulturer resulterede i en lang række bøger om emnet.
